Journey Church held the first service on January 3rd, 2010.  Journey Church is an intentional church plant, meaning that Journey Church was intentionally started from scratch, not as the result of a church "split" or as a splinter group from some other church.  Church Plant Pastor Benji Rowland, and his family, came to Tifton, GA as a result of God placing the vision in their hearts to start a church here.

We’re just getting started! 2019 we are going into our 10 year of ministry in Tifton, GA. We are thankful for what God has done through Journey up until this point, but we know in our hearts, the story has just begun. As we prepare for what God has in store for us we will continue to live out the vision God has placed on the heart of Lead Pastor, Benji Rowland. To reach people that are far from God, to embrace the Journey, to Live for God, love people and to serve the world.

We desire to see the lost, the hurting and the disconnected come together to find hope. purpose, and uncover the Journey God has for them.  Journey is a church with a casual and contemporary environment, where people engage in authentic worship, are challenged with relevant sermons, and equipped to  transform their community.  Our heart is to see the lost become Christ followers and exemplify Christ in their words, action, and their life.  In the life of Journey Church, every person is encouraged to not only have a relationship with Christ but to embrace the journey God has for them and fulfill His purpose for their life, to live for God and Serve the World.
